Forget January! For many of us, fall feels like a fresh start on the year. To reorganize and reenergize, consider spending a day getting your workspace in order. With a little effort, you can clear out the clutter in your office and clear your mind of stress at the same time.
The key to conquering clutter in your workspace is to ask yourself three basic questions about each item:
1) Do I actually use this?
2) Do I really want this?
3) Where does this really belong?
When sorting through your piles, drawers, cabinets, bookcases, briefcase, and anything else that need organizing, be ruthless! Be honest with yourself about whether or not items are necessary.
When you take time to organize your office, you’ll save time every day and become more efficient. You may even make more money! Don’t have time to devote a whole day? Spend 30 minutes every day. Set a timer to keep yourself focused and, with a couple of days worth of work, your office will be organized for the fall season.
